Al-Nasr Club will play Paris Saint-Germain, the team led by Cristiano Ronaldo.
The winning offer at an auction for tickets to Thursday's friendly match between the franchise teams of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo was $2.6 million made by a Saudi businessman.
Arab News has reported that on Thursday in Riyadh, Messi's Paris Saint-Germain would play a special team made up of players from Ronaldo's new team Al-Nasr and their Saudi rivals Al-Hilal.
Turki Al-Sheikh, adviser to the royal court and head of Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority, made announcements regarding the release of a special ticket that will benefit charity as well as those who were given access to the locker rooms and photo opportunities with players to promote Thursday's friendly match.
Along with Messi, other press club players competing on Thursday include Ashraf Hakimi of Morocco and Kylian Mbappe of France. Hakimi was instrumental in helping Morocco advance to the World Cup semifinals in Qatar last year.
After signing a 200 million euro contract with Al-Nasr until 2025, this will be Ronaldo's first football match in the Kingdom, according to club sources.
With separate payments as an ambassador for Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Greece's anticipated World Cup bids, Ronaldo is anticipated to get a total of 400 million euros from the monarchy.
